Free Spirit BodyWorks is about more than just a massage, a fitness session or yoga class. It's a lifestyle! And it is the result of my last 18 years of growth and a desire to learn more about the incredible bodies we have the fortunate opportunity to walk around in every day! My path has empowered me to help others improve their lives through quality self-care and the use of tools created for body awareness, healing, and strength!
Throughout the course of my career I have learned that using my hands and energy to help heal peoples’ aches, pains, and relieve physical and mental anxiety is a gift I am meant to share. I strive to build lasting and meaningful relationships with my clients and work hard to provide them with a positive experience of touch, a means to pain management, and most importantly, an over-all sense of well-being.
I grew up in a small mountain valley in Utah and enjoyed an active childhood running barefoot in the summer, boating excursions with family and friends, mountain biking, camping, hiking and skiing in the beautiful canyons surrounding my home.
I have been practicing Massage and Therapeutic Bodywork since 1999. I graduated from the Utah College of Massage Therapy in Salt Lake City, UT in the spring of 2000. There I studied full-time in anatomy and the basics of professional massage therapy, deep tissue and sports massage techniques, prenatal and infant massage as well as a broad spectrum of alternative healing methods and modalities including eastern based philosophies. I continue to learn more about the body and tools to assist health and function by continuing my education through various workshops and courses.
In 2009 I dedicated myself to my own personal transformation through lifestyle changes including fitness, balanced nutrition, and more pro-active health practices. I continue to be inspired by my own positive results, and feel compelled to offer a means for others to experience the same quality of life.
In 2013 I studied and earned my certificate as a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Coach. And in 2018 I received my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification. With these additions to my skill-set, I am able to offer guidance and instruction to help clients further achieve their goals and encourage a healthy successful lifestyle.
